 What is a Naturopathic Doctor?

Naturopaths are experts in alternative medicine that can be used alone or in conjunction with allopathic medicine.  They are trained at four year post graduate naturopathic medical schools and can prescribe pharmaceutical medication but are trained extensively in treating the underlying cause for dis-ease with nontoxic, evidence and tradition based natural medicine.

A visit with a naturopath is longer than a typical medical doctor visit because the whole body is addressed as an integrated system and the doctor works with the patient as a teacher to both  treat and prevent dis-ease.

Naturopaths can diagnose and treat many problems such as common cold, IBS,eczema, urinary tract infections, gastric ulcers, chronic fatigue syndrome and allergies.  

Cancer Prevention and Co-treatment

Cancer can occur due to many causes and most of them are preventable, including things like chemical toxicity, hormonal imbalances, excess weight, emotional and physical stress, immune dysfunction, viruses and lifestyle.  Naturopaths look at the whole person and bring the system back into balance to prevent and treat disease.   Co-treatment is the process of supporting the body and person naturally during chemotherapy, radiation and surgery.  Then after these conventional treatments are completed the body is strengthened and detoxified.
